My arts career began in the early 1970s in Ashland, Oregon as a craftsman in the candle industry. Over the next four decades, I honed my skills as an artisan of finely sculpted candles while pursuing mastery of the skills and artistry involved with the metal sculptures and sculpture paintings I now exhibit and sell.
In 2000, I relocated from Santa Rose, CA to Leaburg, OR. Leaburg is the present location of my working home studio for supplying galleries and art venues throughout the Pacific Northwest with my metal sculptures and other works.

This web gallery is representative of my body of work. Not all pieces shown here are currently available, but they should give the viewer a sense of the direction of my work. Commissioned pieces can be taken with consultation and may be based on work shown in this Web gallery or displayed in select galleries in the Northwest.
All works are sculpted in steel, copper, and other ferrous and nonferrous metals. Painted backgrounds are rendered on stretched canvas in acrylics, and each is a signed work of my own creation.
My studio in Leaburg, Oregon is open for private and public showings by appointment. Leaburg is located on the McKenzie River, Route 126, east of Springfield and Eugene at the 20 mile marker.

Along with several parallel careers I have enumerated here, I have sculpted
for over thirty years. The collection of ideas expressed is an effort to present
ideas in the simplest form with the simplest materials those ethereal creations
of my imagination and industry. I strive to make the sculptures as representational
as possible while still recognizable and realistic.
